A Crafty Fox

A new race on the calendar from the folks at White Star Running, this years Crafty Fox was a tester, but still had all that you expect from a WSR event.. extra miles, big hills and big bling!

Race HQ is near Ansty in the middle of Dorset, and the car park was in the same field as the Start and finish line… not sure I can remember being so close!

After a garbled race brief from Andy Palmer (electric fence, bulls, try not to die.. you know the stuff) the race was off!

The result was glorious, with some spectacular views, some long steep climbs (nearly 600 metres over the half) some nice woods, some fabulous down hills, lots of cows, lots of people and just a lush race!

Mark, Chris and Will all shot off and finished in the top 20% of the field, it was Marks first Trail half and a great finish in 15th place!

Lou and I took it a bit more leisurely, hiking the steeps and flowing the down hills, but still finished with well over 100 people behind us…

Finishers medal was of course large and foxy, and a custom WSR and Piddles pint glass and a bottle of slasher completed a fab day out!

One for the diary next year!

15 243 Mark King 02:08:29
25 327 Chris Pinnock 02:14:57
65 219 Will Irvine 02:33:55
289 53 Neil Brannagan-Fuller 03:41:11
290 218 Louisa Irvine 03:41:12
