A final post about our BHAM! Trail 10k, in the form of a thank you to everyone involved in making our first event a success. None of the team had ever organised a race before, but hopefully we pulled it off without too many issues – if you exclude postponements due to snow and the amount of water and mud underfoot, but hopefully that just made it more memorable
We really enjoyed it and hope you did as well, and hope you will join us again next year for the second running, date TBA!!
The Runners
A massive well done to all the runners, 103 of you took on Cripple Hill and survived, the full results are here. Well done to our top three Gents & Ladies, our Strava Segment Winner, and the Tail Runners new BFF.
Marshals & Volunteers
The feedback from the runners about our marshals has been brilliant, thank you to all of you who dragged your husbands/wives/partners/kids/friends and yourselves out of bed on a miserable Sunday Morning to shout, holla, cheer and direct all of the runners, special thanks to the 3 Claire’s at the Claire Station for keeping people hydrated, our photographers, Derek, Dizzy & Jamie, our car park crew – Mark, Brian, Cliff, Spencer, Adam, Jason and Chippy, Rob for running the course an hour and a half before everyone else for final safety checks & Nic for sweeping up Rebel Runners like a mad woman.
Our Hosts & Landowners
A huge thank you to Duncan & Sue at Bower Hinton Farm and Farmshop for allowing us to take over for the day, Jason and Tara at Bakers Farm for the use of land and finding the padlock combination, the Talbots for paddocking the horses for the day, and the Somerset Rights of Way team for their support, clarifying of ROW and building us a new bridge!!
Sponsors
A massive thank you do all of our sponsors who made the race possible – SNC Plumbing & Heating, Darch Oil, Neil Chapman Plant, Orchard Estates, DCE Systems, Paul Holbrook Paving & Orchard Pig Cider
Advertisers
Thank you to all of the advertisers who took the opportunity to advertise in our booklet.
